The Zambia Climate Change Network (ZCCN) actively participates in UNFCCC processes, both as part of Zambia’s official delegation and the global civil society network. This involvement enables ZCCN to contribute to global climate discussions and actions. The network played a role in developing Zambia’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), which shaped the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
As a member of the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA), ZCCN strengthens Africa’s climate response efforts. It also collaborates with COMESA, the African Union (AU), and SADC to enhance regional climate action through partnerships, information sharing, and joint initiatives.
Domestically, ZCCN has contributed to key environmental and climate policies, including the National Climate Change Response Strategy, National Climate Change Policy, NAPA, REDD+, and the National Forestry Policy. Additionally, ZCCN expanded its role in climate awareness under the Pilot Programme for Climate Resilience (PPCR), supported by the World Bank and implemented by the Interim Climate Change Secretariat..
