The Zambia Climate Change Network (ZCCN) is a membership – based Organization that exists as a civil society National platform whose strategic thrust is on climate/ environmental justice and the realization of sustainable development in Zambia.

Who We Are?

The Zambia Climate Change Network (ZCCN) is a membership-based civil society platform focused on climate justice and sustainable develo- pment in Zambia. It is registered with the Registrar of Societies (No. ORS/102/35/4365).

ZCCN’s mission is to coordinate stakeholder engagement on climate change through advocacy, lobbying, campaigning, and promoting sustainable solutions at national, African, and global levels. Its objective is to mobilize Civil Society Organizations and individuals working on climate-related issues to create a unified platform for action.

ZCCN is a member of the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA), a coalition of African civil society organizations, and is also registered as an International Organization under Kenyan law.

ZCCN is a membership-based organization that is voluntary and non-partisan with full legal status. The Network currently associates with over 40 organizations across the country. Membership is open to civil society organizations, faith/ community-based organizations, individuals, academic institutions, and corporate bodies that subscribe to the ideals of the network.

What We Do

International Level

The Zambia Climate Change Network (ZCCN) actively participates in UNFCCC processes, both as part of Zambia’s official delegation and the global civil society network. This involvement enables ZCCN to contribute to global climate discussions and actions.

National Level

Domestically, ZCCN has contributed to key environmental and climate policies, including the National Climate Change Response Strategy, National Climate Change Policy, NAPA, REDD+, and the National Forestry Policy.
