At ZCCN, we believe that gender equality is fundamental to achieving environmental sustainability, social justice, and inclusive development. Empowering women, girls, and marginalized gender groups is not just a matter of rights. It is a critical driver of resilient communities and lasting change.
Our Gender thematic area focuses on addressing gender disparities in environmental governance, access to resources, leadership, and decision making. It promotes gender responsive policies, supports women led initiatives, and amplifies voices often left out of the development conversation.
Members under this thematic area include:
① Women’s Life and Wellness Foundation (Chair)
② Mrs Monica Chundama (Co Chair)
③ Mrs Rabeca Miselo
④ Zambia Alliance of Women
⑤ Vision Outreach of Zambia
⑥ Women Environ Zambia
ZCCN’s Gender work is rooted in the conviction that inclusive development begins with inclusion in voice, power, and opportunity. We are proud to champion gender justice as a central pillar of all our thematic work.
