The Zambia Climate Change Network (ZCCN) successfully hosted a two-day Board and Secretariat Orientation Meeting, bringing together newly elected Board Members and Secretariat staff to foster stronger collaboration and improved governance.
Facilitated by Leadership and Organizational Development expert Mr. Kalungu Sampa, the session focused on clarifying roles and responsibilities, enhancing teamwork, and initiating the review of institutional policies in line with ZCCN’s strategic objectives.
In her opening remarks, ZCCN Board Chairperson Ms. Maggie Mapalo Mwape, who is also the Executive Director of the Centre for Environment Justice (CEJ), highlighted the importance of unity between the Board and Secretariat in driving the organization’s mission forward. Also read
“ZCCN is more than just an organization – it is a movement for climate justice, resilience, and sustainability,” she said, urging all participants to build trust and maintain open communication.
The orientation ended with a renewed commitment from both the Board and Secretariat to advance climate and environmental justice across Zambia and the region.
